ARC Indy Product Testing: Part 3 - Posting Stakes

ARC Indy Product Testing: Part 3 - Posting Stakes

At the end of August, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to perform product testing in the wind tunnel at the Auto Research Center in Indianapolis, IN. You can read more about our trip and see more pictures on our blog
We brought our 18" Clip Stick and 22" Slim Stake with us to ARC Indy to test alongside some of our competitors stakes. Our lawn stage was installed on the wind tunnel platform where wind is dispersed and testing started! We had two ARC Indy technicians that worked with our team, assisting in setup and overseeing our testing session. They managed the control room, adjusting and monitoring the wind tunnel speeds.
We started out testing our 22" Slim Stake to kick off our posting stakes product testing. Our 22" Slim Stake and a comparable competitor stake were both weaved into identical signage and then installed in our lawn stage. We began testing at 5MPH wind speeds, incrementally increasing by approximately 5MPH. In the picture series below, our 22" Slim Stake is on the left, and the competitor stake is on the right.

After testing our Slim Stake against the competitor stake, we moved on to test our 18" Clip Stick Stake. We replaced the competitor stake with a new one for this round of testing as well, to ensure fair results. Testing was performed in the same manner as the testing on the 22" Slim Stake, starting at 5MPH and incrementally increasing wind speeds. In the picture series below, our 18" Clip Stick stake is on the left and the competitor stake is on the right.

Both our 18" Clip Stick Stake and 22" Slim Stake performed well in testing, boasting superior wind resistance. Our posting stakes, like all USA Sign Frame and Stake products, are manufactured entirely in the United States using recycled materials. Our posting stakes hold up straighter than the competitor's stakes in the wind, keeping your signage visible no matter what Mother Nature fights them with.
